    Ultimate A/C compressor fix FYI

AC would work great for a few minutes, then just stop, but only when it got hot.

it's a combination of the rubber pads wearing thinner and the spring getting a little weaker. Could be all blamed on the rubber pads (yellow).

Use a long, small screwdriver extension bit to wedge the clutch to what would be the engaged position (red). You only need about 1mm or so.

Use a long flat screwdriver and a hammer... put it at the base of each pad area (purple), and gave it a few good taps with the hammer. Again, you only need it to move about 1mm at most.

All done. Works for most cars.

The goal of the fix is to get the clutch about 1mm closer/in so it will engage properly.

It's sad to think how many A/C compressors have gone to compressor heaven way too early.>
