    nice DIY Chung!

but let me ask dood... didn't you also pull and clean the MAF sensor when you yanked the AVCS filter?? i'd been hoping to clean the filter at oil drains only, and to not completely remove... should i reconsider this??
cleaned this a while before[2 weeks before approx], so i just ignored it to "road feel" any difference.
I do not think it is necessary to remove. But i wanted to take front, because my car is now 8 years or more old, and i don't want the filter going down in there anywhere. I do alot of high revving, and i am truly afraid it collapses. The filter itself is very flimsy in design.
Cheap and fast won't be reliable. Cheap and reliable won't be fast. Reliable and fast won't be cheap.

Please ensure the filter to the turbo and AVCS are always Clean or (remove - optional)...

There are lengthy post and links on TSOC with manufacturer warnings pertaining to these issues and resolving them and suggesting their removal as well.

A clogged AVCS or Turbo filter can cause numerous headaches.
